In November of last year, Galveston completed the 2nd of 3 beach renovation projects. New beaches were created between 61st and 75th streets in front of the seawall – that previously was without a beach and only contained large slabs of pink granite.  These new beaches are much larger (estimated at 300 feet wide) and nicer than anyone expected.
